She had been gone for a month now, leaving the male with a large gaping hole in his heart. There wasn’t even any kind of warning or sign that she would be leaving. He tried to not let it distract him from practice, but it was no use. The ball hit the court more often now. The whole team, even Hinata who was usually dense, could see that he missed her.
His expression would change from a smiling one to a slight pout when he thought no one was looking. It was painfully obvious to anyone looking at him that something was off.

During weekends and holidays, even though he was in college, he'd take the bus to the close recreational center so he could practice volleyball with the old Karasuno gang (though sometimes he'd train with his college). Taken, he supposed it was a little weird to hang with people he didn't even study or really play with on the same team anymore, but then again, this was the Karasuno team. If he had flourished in junior high, then he truly must have peaked with them (but, then again, Yuu thinks, there's always room for improvement.)
